Modern Mountain Garland
We are lucky to live so close to the Rocky Mountains! I often admire them from afar, since we can see them so clearly. As the sun sets most evenings, their silhouettes look so majestic and I realize they might just be my favorite. I decided to do a DIY for Christmas inspired by them: a Modern Mountain Garland!
- Foam Sheets (I chose black, white and glittered silver and gold)
- Glue Dots
- Bakers Twine
Simply sketch out your mountains. Cut the mountains (optional: peaks can be a different color).
Use glue dots to secure the peaks onto the mountains. Continue until you have as many as you would like, keep in mind variation in color and size.
Simply tape them to the twine. Hang and enjoy!
Once again, the simplicity of this project is what makes it so great! Less is alway more, or so I think. The touch of sparkle is a great way to make the mountains really stand out on the fireplace mantle! If you have little ones, this would be a great project to do with them as well.
